The Session
During your session you should expect to be yourself, and to have some serious fun! If you love to give your child piggy back rides, expect to do so, if your child loves to blow bubbles, by all means bring some. I want to capture what makes your child who they are, and all of the joys and emotions that go along with childhood. A shy face, a temper tantrum, laughter, smiles, frowns, and anything in between...
In a family session, you can expect individual shots of your children, sibling interaction, and parent interaction. I have chosen not to focus on the entire family in every shot, because I have found that most parents prefer the range of photos that are offered in my family sessions, and prefer the focus being on all of the different dynamics that make you a family.
The Location
All of my sessions are done on location. They can be either at your home, one of your favorite locations, or one of my favorite locations. Keep in mind, I only shoot in natural light so if we have your session at your home, there needs to be plenty of light available in the area of your home. All shoots include travel up to 20 miles from my home in Lebanon. {I am willing to travel further for an additional charge.}
The Attire
Wear lots of color, or layer clothing. Many people are drawn to the color in my photos, and I can't create that for you if you show up in khaki pants, and a white shirt. Newborns, work best either in their birthday suit, or just a diaper with a diaper cover. Hat and different blankets are also great options to have. The same guidelines go for babies, although onesies, and colorful leg warmers can also make a great addition to the list. Families should wear similar tones, and no, it should not be the exact same color. {Just a matching color pallet.} Another must is to avoid logos. Great hats, cool ties, tutus, colorful tights, funky rain boots, your son's favorite pillowcase cape.... are all wonderful things to also bring along, as they can help to enhance the colorful, fun mood that we are trying to achieve. You are welcome to do several clothing changes, and it's always nice to have different looks to choose from.
Your photographs
Your photo CD will be ready in approximately 2 weeks from your session. You will recieve a release from me that will allow you to print your photographs unlimited, at the printer of your choice. When printing I suggest you checking the cropping when printing larger prints and always print in lustre or matte. Traci Ferrell Photography will always own the rights to the photos, but you will have unlimited permission to print your pictures at your favorite printing company. Feel free to post them on your Facebook page, blog, ect. but please credit back to Traci Ferrell Photography.
